That was then, this is now: 2024 Recap

2024 Recap-Captiva-blog

As brand and marketing strategists, we know the power of a good story.

And boy was 2024 truly one for the books—from the launch of Bluesky, Pat Sajack retiring after 40 years hosting Wheel of Fortune, and sequels of Inside Out 2, Gladiator II, and Moana 2, to the total solar eclipse, Paris 2024 Olympic Summer Games, and the end of the Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour.

In our little corner of the world, if we had to sum up 2024 in one word, it would be GROWTH. 💪🏼

🎢 2024 was a roller coaster ride (no cap). However, we are grateful for the people we’ve become (and the people we’ve befriended) in the process.

Because we know that every challenge or gut-punching setback that tested our mettle also sharpened us. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right?

4 Ways We Grew the Most in 2024

1. Our Team: This year, we doubled our team and welcomed experienced specialists who brought fresh perspectives and skills. This investment has been one of our best decisions, giving us the competitive edge and flexibility to better serve our clients.

2. Client Impact: We had the privilege of partnering with FLAMAZING organizations like the Energy Foundation, Plenary Americas, and the National Hispanic Health Foundation, while also working with small businesses like CRO Syndicate, RBW Strategy, and Edges of Earth. Each partnership has been a unique opportunity to make a real impact, and we’re grateful for every one of our clients.

3. Certifications: We’re proud to have earned our Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBEC & WOSB) Certification, a milestone that’s already opening new doors and helping us broaden our reach.

4. Leadership: This year, we took significant steps in developing our leadership, from participating in Leadership Greater Washington and Amplify Latina to working closely with our executive coach.

🤔 As we look back on 2024, we see the culmination of hard work, tough decisions, and invaluable lessons.

🤗 Looking ahead to 2025, despite the uncertainty giving DC-area leaders the heebie-jeebies (as the Washington Business Journal eloquently put it), we’re optimistic and excited for what’s to come.

From refining our messaging and testing fresh creative ideas to experimenting with AI and expanding our network of resource partners, we’re stepping into 2025 like a boss… with renewed energy and a clear focus.⚡

What is your 2024 story? What are you leaving in 2024 and bringing to 2025?
